Here We Go

Well, Scott told me that I should start a blog about the boys growing up.  He's mentioned it several times to me.  So here we go!

On Saturday (April 13, 2013) Scott and I attended his grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary dinner.  My parents kindly watched Ryan and John.  Members of Scott's family were sick, and we didn't want the boys to catch anything.  (We have had our share of sickness since the boys have been home.)  While we were at dinner, John decided to pull himself up on our ottoman.  However, no one saw him do it.  This is very typcial in our house.  As soon as you turn your back they boys are doing something new.  For example, Ryan would always roll over in his crib at night.  But, catching him roll over during the day?  Forget about it!  Finally, yesterday Scott and I saw John pull himself up on the couch.  These boys always impress me.  Even though they are 10 months old, they really are 7 1/2 months old since they were born at 29 weeks.

Summer is right around the corner and like every other woman... I want to lose weight.  After having the boys, I did lose all the baby weight.  Now I just am not tone at all.  I guess muscle does weigh more that fat because I am not happy with my body.  My goal is to get back into exercising.  Before I was pregnant, I went to the gym at least 5 times a week.  Now, it is non existent.  Lately Scott and I have been walking around the neighborhood with the boys.  Eventually I'd like to run a 1/2 marathon.  I just need to set my goal and stick with it.

Our eating habits haven't been the best since having the boys.  We determine what we are eating based on how much time we have before we have to feed, change, rock, bathe, etc the boys.  But you know what, I wouldn't change a single thing.  I will stop anything I am doing to just sit and hold my boys.  Sometimes holding them is just what they need.  And you know what, sometimes it is just what I need.

I pinterest like crazy!  I love to craft, pin recipes (hopefully I will start to use them), decorate, and get ideas!  I have been planning the boys' first birthday.  I am BEYOND excited for this.  As a family we have been through a lot together, and this first birthday means the world to me.

So follow along and  I will take you on a journey with our family!
